Investigative reporter and experienced trainer in data journalism and advanced research techniques. Previously data journalism editor for The Times and Sunday Times, investigations correspondent at the Financial Times. I have previously worked for the Guardian on the Datablog and data-led investigations covering offshore tax leaks, corporate land banking and issues surrounding social justice. Skilled in using advanced internet research, public records, data analysis and freedom of information regulations to research and produce original, public interest stories.

A founding member and co-organiser of Journocoders, a monthly meet up group for exchanging practical advice on coding in relation to journalism, covering topics from webscraping to VR interactives. I also train in data and advanced internet research for the CIJ Summer School and Community Journalism project.
